Spiritual warfare, the attack on the family, and communism

Besides being an icon of the Trinity, the family is the building block of society. As Catholic
theology articulates, “The family is the original cell of social life. It is the natural society. . . Family life is an initiation into life in society” (CCC 2207). So, not only is family an image of God and a church, family is the core engine that runs society itself. One would think in a just society that government officials would bend-over-backwards to support the family precisely so that society operates in a clean, wholesome sphere (see CCC 2210-2211).

Renowned exorcist Fr. Chad Ripperger recently developed a series in which he parallels how demons and communism are mutually compatible. Both seek to divert people's perceptions, to manipulate, control and enslave them all the while destroying God's economy of creation. Communism forces one to forgo their ability to become an independent free thinker, and instead, become a slave to the rhetoric and ideas of the state. Fr. Ripperger insists that the first stop on this communist train is to ransack the family and usurp authority from the parents.

When one comes to the realization of a spiritual battle it can invoke fear and anxiety, but, alas as priests often point out, spiritual warfare will awaken one's soul and actually draw one closer to God for people who become keenly aware of being in the midst of a spiritual battle tend to pray more and go to Mass and Confession with a sense of holy urgency. In fact, delving into the faith is the only way to win in spiritual warfare (see Eph.6: 13-17). So, don't give in to the temptation of acting out in anger, rather, pray, fast, and go to the Sacraments for being in a state of grace moves the needle closer to God, but being in a state of rage moves the needle closer to Satan.

I continue praises and thanksgiving for my wife.  This is a woman and mother of twelve children battling chronic daily body pain, high blood pressure, heart arrhythmias and an aortic aneurism.   When our family was attacked recently from the outside, she immediately rediscovered her "Jersey Girl", forgetting about herself to protect her children.  She is really something to behold.

It has come to my attention that raising your children with great care for both their bodies and their souls, providing them an understanding of the Natural and Divine Law so that they know who they are, where they came from, that there is truth, responsibility, consequences for one's actions whether good or ill, all to live upright, magnanimous, loving, respectful, dignified and fulfilling lives thereby nourishing a great hope and love for their God at the close of it... is brainwashing child abuse. 

Conversely, to sit little kids at the public library to watch perverted men dressed in drag read storybooks, teach them in school at tender ages that it is fine to abuse themselves and have sex outside of wedlock,  pump them with toxic chemicals, indoctrinate them into thinking that killing and throwing away unwanted unborn human "side effects" of their actions is not only fine but something to celebrate as a "right", force them to watch mostly nude, gyrating adults acting out in parades around the country, encourage them to mutilate their bodies without the knowledge of their parents to become a Sam instead of a Sally if they so feel,  that none of this really matters anyway because they are only a bunch of evolved monkeys in a random universe that magically appeared at some point out of nothing and nowhere... is not brainwashing child abuse.

My beautiful one... who gave it all and dedicated her life, time and talent to stay at home and raise her children.   A hero.

A catechism in fruit. In years past, one needed to name the 12 Fruits of the Holy Ghost to receive a bowlful!

A great interview with Brandon Sheard, Catholic Homesteader running his own traditional "meat smithing" business with his wife and children.  He has a great conversion story to the Catholic faith spurred initially from his studies as an English literature major through to theological studies in a protestant seminary.    Unlike what Luther and Calvin taught, you CAN lead a holy life by God's Grace with a faith further confirmed by reason.
