Kurelek in Conversation

Since moving to our northern home many years ago, this blog has documented the heart of our family journey during the most impressionable years in the lives of many of my children.  Though I do not have the time, nor the conviction any longer to publish regularly the details of our lives on the Internet, I can't help but want to send a heartbeat out every now and then just to keep this historical thread alive. At this point, I am writing to myself, but no matter. It is the box of memories in the attic.

Here is a short clip of selected paintings by Canadian artist William Kurelek.  The subject matter seems fitting as we prepare to celebrate the last day of Christmastide tomorrow. I put up a post or two last year of some of Kurelek's work shortly after I discovered this great artist through another great Canadian artist Michael O' Brien.  I am hoping shortly to take my high schoolers on a day trip to the National Gallery in Ottawa to see some of Kurelek's work along with works of many of the masters throughout history.
